You can convert a graph into a grouped object, ungroup it, then edit the individual objects using tools on the tool palette.
Step 1
Select a graph, then choose Graph to Objects from the Graph menu. The graph is converted to a grouped object with a single set of selection handles.
Step 2
Select the grouped object, then choose Ungroup (Cmd-U) from the Arrange menu to ungroup it into the following objects, each with its own selection handles:
• The title is a text object.
• The graph is a grouped object that includes the plot frame, plot symbols and elements, axes and axes titles, tick marks and grid lines, and tick labels. Also included are QC limits, curve fits, error bars, and value labels if they exist.
• The legend is a grouped object that includes the plot symbols or elements and their names.
Step 3
Click away from the objects to deselect them.
Step 4
Continue to select grouped objects and choose Ungroup (Cmd-U) from the Arrange menu until you have ungrouped the grouped object into individual objects.
Step 5
Edit the individual objects using menu commands and tools on the tool palette.
